Glitter Snowman Ornament
I combined 2 different ornament crafts with this idea. The glitter filled and the handprint snowman
Both ideas came from Pintrest. The glitter filled instructions are Here (Sorry my picture doesn't do justice for the glitter it is much prettier in person) and the handprint snowman are Here she even has a cute saying that I retyped and attached to each ornament. My daughter is giving these to her grandparents and god parents.

Friends Frame
I want to start by apologizing for the lack of posts lately. Our labtop took a crap and our home computer runs really slow so I had to get it cleaned up before I could even do anything on it. Plus I haven't had much time to do any crafting due to my daughters summer activities, family events and working. Put I do have a quick easy craft for you today! I am hoping to have a little more time in the coming weeks to work on some wood crafts and one huge project that I can't wait to share with you guys just as soon as I can finish it!
This is a super easy. I have a bag of scrabble tiles in my craft supplies that I was using for the tile necklaces. I just found the letters I needed for the word I wanted and a frame I had on hand and hot glued the tiles onto the glass of the frame. I also had some butterflies (which are one of my favorite things) that I glued on also for a little something extra.

Play Make-up
This was not my original idea I say it in blog land but can't remember where for the life of me (if you know please let me know so I can give credit where it is due)
My daughter loves to play with make-up so I made her, her own. All you need is some Dollar Tree blush, eyeshadow, compact and some dimensional magic. (By mod podge or diamond glaze) Just put a thin layer of the glaze on top of the powder.
Pop any bubbles with a pin.
(check on it frequently as new bubbles will appear and you want to pop them before it sets which happened to me).
Let dry over night and there you have it pretend make-up without the mess.
This would make a cute little girls gift.

Candy Jar
Here is the candy jar my daughter and I made for grandpa for fathers day.
(Sorry about the picture, it was easier to see and looked a little better without the candy). I wanted to use stuff from the garage so all I could find to use at the time was some orange snow fencing (if you saw my husbands garage you would be afraid to look too!) I cut one row off of the fencing and cut the length so that 1 square from each end over lapped perfectly and used some black electrical tape to hold it together. I then found some thicker green floral wire that I had got awhile back from the dollar store and wrapped it 4 times around the neck of the dish. I made a small swirl, wrapped the ends together and added grandpa's favorite peanut M&M's. We wrapped it in some cellophane and tied a little printed note:
perfect for grandpa's desk.

Candy Fishing Bait Gift Box
These are the gifts my daughter and I made for Fathers day.
Dad's gift was of course the fishing box
Dad's gift was of course the fishing box
I started off by spray painting the lids hunter green, then I printed the labels that I found on k mckay designs. (I love her ideas/printables!) on some green design scrapbook paper, We then mod podged the labels on the front and top of the jars and lids.
We filled the baby food jars with some Swedish fish, gummy worms and some other of dad's favorite candies. I found a set of 3 wood boxes at walmart for 6.00, I used the one that fit the jars best and painted it brown. Then mod podged the label on the front. (I did tie a small fishing weight to 2 of the jars with some twine to add a little more decoration, I also added some brown shredded filler to the bottom of the box).
Here is a close up of the jars

#9 Rock Princess Tutu
BIRTHDAY PROJECT #9
I found some sparkly tulle at Hobby Lobby in purple, pink and black perfect for a tutu!
I got 2 10yrd rolls of each color (I didn't use all of it but did need most of it about 40yrds), and some ribbon that matched.
There are tons of how to videos on u tube but here is my written version.
How to:
1. Measure the child's waist, add about 24in and cut your ribbon.
2. Tie a knot about 10inches in from each end
(from knot to knot should be your child's waist measurement, the extra is for your bow).
3. measure out your tulle to 24in pieces and cut
4. Tie tulle around your ribbon in a knot being sure to try and keep it even, in whatever pattern you want. keep tying until the area between the knots is full. You can trim to even out the tulle or you can leave it.

Fuzzy Sock Ice Cream Cones
Simple last minute Mother's Day Gift
I found a cute cupcake idea at Greenbean's Craftrole she has a tutorial HERE I thought they where so cute, but I has a problem with the socks I had purchased, they were aloe infused and way to slippery so I thought of a little different idea.... Ice cream cones, I added a red capped chap stick in the center for the cherry, wrapped the socks at an angle and rubber banded the bottom. Then cut some brown checkered paper to a cone shape and taped. A simple and a cute little gift.
Another idea is to add a gift card for a pedicure or to a spa with the tag.

#6 Birthday Book Countdown
BIRTHDAY PROJECT #6
Birthday Book Countdown
We did a Christmas book countdown for Christmas and never would have thought of doing a Birthday book countdown, but I got that great idea from Here. She wrapped random books that her daughter liked. I wanted to go a step further so I found 7 birthday theme books. (My daughter's Birthday is on the 7th so a week countdown works perfect, plus books about Birthdays are hard to find).

I am going to wrap all the books and let my daughter unwrap one each night for us to read before bed the week of her birthday. She did have 3 of the books I'm using but the other 4 are going to be gifts this year cause they are new.

Monogram Wreath U
This wreath I made for our door.
The U and the yarn I scored at Goodwill for 1.00 total, the wreath form again from the Dollar Tree, and the flower premade bunch from Hobby Lobby for 5.00. I attached the letter to the wreath with clear fishing line.

Monogram Wreath H
I made this one as a gift for my best friend for letting us stay with them when we visited.
The wreath form is from the dollar tree, I wrapped it in some yarn, then hot glued some flowers on that I got at hobby lobby. The letter I got from goodwill for .25 and just painted it blue. I attached it with some clear fishing line so it looks like it's floating. Total cost under $10.00. (the wrapping of the yarn around the wreath took awhile but it let me catch up on some of my shows on the DVR)

Quiet/Travel Activity Book
I love all the quiet books I see out there but I am not a sewer nor do I have a lot of that on hand. But I do have a laminator, computer, magnets, cricut, markers, Dollar Tree cookie sheet and dry erase markers. I need something to keep my daughter ( J ) busy on our 5 hour car ride coming up, DVD player and leapster won't last that long :( .... So I went to town with my computer, laminator and cricut.
Pages 1-6 - J loves the hidden picture books and I love that Highlights lets you print them off for free HERE. I just printed about 6 off, cut out the picture and list of items to find, and taped them onto a blank sheet of paper back to back, and ran them through my laminator. Add some dry erase markers and J can do them over and over again.
Page 7-10 - These sheets Came from J's teacher and I just needed to laminate them. Now she can learn/practice drawing a castle, house, dog, and car. Again with some dry erase markers J can do them over and over.
Page 11 - I also got this idea from a worksheet J's teacher gave her for numbers so I went into picnik and made my own you can get a copy Here and Here. I printed the set of fish with the numbers on a magnetic sheet (HP magnetic paper) then printed the second set with the dots on regular paper. I then traced (to darken outline), cut out, and laminated the dotted fish and then cut them out again and added a small magnet to the back of each fish. Now she can count the dots and match it to the number (they are not color coated as you can see, my daughter wouldn't learn her numbers if they were)
Page 12-13 - J has a game on her leapster that you take shapes and make different pictures with, so that's where this comes in. Another Picnik template I made, you can get a copy of Cat and Dog Here and Here or/and Boat and Train Here and Here this time I printed the black outlined shapes onto magnetic sheet paper, I then cut out and laminated the colored shapes, cut them out again and added a small magnet to the back of each one. Now she can use the shapes to make the figures shown.
Page 14 - I have the everyday paper dolls and paper doll dress-up cartridges for my cricut. I bought a large roll of magnetic sheet from Micheal's ($9.99 before my 40% coupon of course). My mom has the larger cricut and the heavy blade for it so I used her cutter to make these. Everything pictured I got out of the one large roll of magnet (there is another croc shoe but I'm not sure were it is at this moment). After I cut it out of the magnet I went back and cut a duplicate out of whatever color paper I wanted the clothes to be. You can either use spray adhesive or really good scrap glue/tape but be sure to get all the edges. (EXAMPLE/TIP: if you adhere the clothing paper to the white side of the magnet be sure to adhere the doll body paper to the black side of the magnet. Otherwise they won't stick together when your child dresses them unless you always have it on a magnetic cookie sheet.)
I am still thinking of more ideas for the book if you have any please let me know I would love to hear them.
Finishing touches:
I three hole punched all the laminated sheets, slid the magnetic sheets into a clear sleeve, added some dry erase markers into a binder pencil holder I had on hand and put everything into a binder I also had on hand. I just keep the cookie sheet with it for the paper dolls and I also have her pull out the magnetic sheets (shape and fish) and put those on the cookie sheet for extra magneticness (I know that's not a word but its late and I need to finish so I can go to bed ;) thank you all for reading I hope I inspired you to make a fun travel book. Please link up if you do I would love to see your ideas.

Birthday Countdown Blocks
I have seen these all over blog land so I'm not sure who to really give credit to. :(
I cut out 2- 4x4 blocks and 1-8.5x2x4 block, Sanded and painted colors to match my birthday paper I had on hand in my scrapbook stuff. I then cut out squares of the paper just a little smaller then each side of the 4x4 blocks, and mod podged them on. I used my cricut and cut out numbers for each block-
First Block -0,1,2,6 or 9,7,8
Second Block -0,1,2,3,4,5
glued them on and mod podged over to protect them (They will be handled a lot). I added some chalk board paint to the front of the 2x4 so we can write the name of the person who is having the birthday.

Wine a Little
I have a wine theme in my kitchen and wanted a small sign for the side of our cupboard.
I had some left over scrap wood that I cut down and painted A deep red then I used my cricut to cut out a saying "Wine a little you'll feel better". I used my sticker maker to adhere them to the wood, and added some wine glass and a bottle sticker, drilled 2 holes for some wire and your ready to hang.
(I didn't coat it with mod podge but you could, I am going to see how it holds up since its just hanging on the wall.)

Rose Pedal Candle Holder
I found this idea HERE and thought it would be perfect for a valentines decoration. You can get a bag of rose pedals and glass candle holder at the Dollar Store. so it is super cheap to make, and you can make more then one with all the pedals you get.
Add a dot of hot glue to the bottom tip of the pedal and starting at the top of the candle holder attaching the pedal directly to the glass working your way all the way around. The next layer place pedals staggered from the first row and continue on till the candle is full making sure each row is staggered. The bottom row I attached to the bottom of the glass holder. Sooo Easy!!! I am going to make one with some red pedals next I will add a picture when I get it done.

Christmas gift ideas
These are some of the Christmas gifts I made this year or plan on making for next years gifts.
CANDY DISH- I did see these on someones blog but I am not sure who it was and now of course when I want to give credit I can't find it again, if you know please post a comment so I can give credit where it is due! Dollar store candy dish and a taper holder glued with some E6000 glue to give it some height.
SANTA'S MAGIC KEY - I did make a couple of these this year and I got some more ornaments on clearance so I could make some for next year also. I found this idea on kmckaydesigns she has a template you can print out I didn't want to go with the vintage look since I had the sparkly red, gold and silver keys so I made my own tag from some clip art I found and printed with her saying on the back and attached it to the key with some Christmas ribbon.
CHRISTMAS PLATTERS - I found these salad plates on clearance at Walmart for $1.50 so I snagged up a few with plans for some goody plates for next Christmas. I plan on spray painting some taper holders either the red or cream color, attaching them to the bottom center with some E6000 glue and filling the plates with some of my Christmas candy I make.

Soap Pump
I made and posted a Halloween version of this already but it was so easy I made a few more here is another one
Materials:
any soap bottle
spray paint of choice (I used a brown hammered look)
graphic of choice (sticker or die cut)
mod podge
Directions:
1. Empty soap into a temporary container and rinse out
2. Spray paint bottle and if needed paint pump asm.
3. When dry attach graphic with mod podge only applied mod podge on and around the edges of the graphic. (If you use a vinyl sticker you don't need mod podge)
4. Refill with soap and you are ready to use.
You could easily personalize this for a housewarming gift.
